Last summer I found it at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum Garage Sale. I pulled it out to put together last weekend when I was home with a cold. THIS is exactly why you need a stash, right? I love applique by hand and machine! I need to quilt this and then add “straw” and a corner buttons to finish it off! I wanted the gold diamonds to look like corn; did it work? I’v...

Confessions of a solitary quilter. Thursday, September 5, 2013. I suppose I'm like a lot of people when I say I didn't get done all the things I wanted to accomplish over the Summer months. It doesn't always hurt, sometimes the "curling" is simply a neutral position (often in a sort of "Rock on! Anyway, I'll keep on truckin' as usual, and hopefully it won't be too long before you hear from me aga...

This is my mini quilt I named "Moon Faces". I made it just for fun and to play with the beautiful Carolyn Friedlander fabrics. I also played with the quilting threads . I used three different kind of threads : pale grey , orange and metallic silver . I love the add of a little sparkle . In life it should always be!

Sunday, February 24, 2013. Official 15th Birthday Portrait. Hi everyone, today is my 15th Birthday. Here is my official 15th Birthday Portrait for your viewing pleasure. You have no idea how much of a challenge I made this by not sitting still or looking where I should. Tuesday, October 2, 2012. In case you've been wondering what I've been up to, I got an iPad! It's very good. I like the retina display. It makes things look realistic. Simply put, pounce on a fish and score points. Whatever a point is?

Quilty cats & me
Quilty cats and me. A quilting crafting diary. Saturday, 19 April 2014. Yesterday was gorgeous wasn’t it? The sheep in the field that partly surrounds my house were soaking up the sunshine and warmth. These are not my sheep, my girls are a bit further away. I was pottering about when the neighbor said he thought there was a lamb stuck. Turned out that some naughty lamb had been playing king of the castle on my garden wall. Tuesday, 14 January 2014. Because the eulogy was a life reduced to a series of eve...
