Quilting A.D.D.

Quilting A.D.D. Hopping from one quilting project to another. Posted by Sharon Hanks. Sunday, January 23, 2011. One of the magazines my grandmother had featured a nine-patch "blanket" on the cover of the magazine. My daughter saw the kitty blanket and had to have it. I figured that she'd forget about it after a day or so if I put the magazine away, but she was tenacious! Personally, I think it's super ugly. I had some time today and threw it together for her. I learned a few lessons along the way:. My mo...

Quilting A.D.D.: Rainbow bargello progress

http://quiltingadd.blogspot.com/2011/01/rainbow-bargello-progress.html

Quilting A.D.D. Hopping from one quilting project to another. Posted by Sharon Hanks. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. It started out pretty simply. a request for a rainbow quilt. Beefing up the width with borders wasn't going to work. they'd overpower the rainbow effect. Yes, that's my striped sock peeking out. Then I stared some more.

Quilting A.D.D. Hopping from one quilting project to another. Ragged Edge Christmas Quilt. Posted by Sharon Hanks. Saturday, January 24, 2009. Over the Christmas holiday, several events conspired to keep me away from my sewing machine - it was out of alignment and wouldn't sew; and my back went out in a big way and I wasn't even able to sit for weeks. Tutorial: http:/ crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-to-make-ragged-squares-quilt.html. That adds to the charm! The full lap blanket:. I'm a photograph...

Quilting A.D.D. Hopping from one quilting project to another. Back to the machine. Posted by Sharon Hanks. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Wow it's been a while! April was a very difficult month for me and included moving from our house to a two bedroom apartment. I haven't had a chance to sew since before the move and I have really missed it! I've been so stressed and overwhelmed that I lost all creativity. But. I was so inspired by some of these scraps that I had to sew something right away! What do you see?

Quilting A.D.D. Hopping from one quilting project to another. My mom gave me my grandma for Christmas. Posted by Sharon Hanks. Friday, January 14, 2011. My mom's mom was my best friend. She had so many admirable qualities and I just adored her. She passed away almost six years ago and I miss her terribly. She was kind, spirited, loving and hard working. She was an incredible role model. My grandmother was an amazing - I mean AMAZING - seamstress! Each drawer contained a million treasures. The top drawer ...

Quilting Accuracy 101

Sunday, April 4, 2010. Like most new quilters, I completed my Quilting 101 class with ease. Yes, I struggled a bit here and there, but all in all it was a pleasantly easy and fun filled course. In particular, sewing a deadly accurate 1/4" seam. Not "Dang, there's that mistake I made! Accurate piecing calls into play two basic skill sets:. Most of...
