The Queens Head Hotel is an old Tudor faced Coaching Inn which dates back to 1656. Situated in the middle of Morpeth town centre it is not without its notoriety. After all, this is where Bessie Surtees, after eloping with her lover, stayed overnight. Some of the original features can still be seen today.
