I got a promotion at work! I haven't started the new job yet because I am still working on the old job and training a replacement. But things are looking like I will be training for my new job within the month. I have been quilting for clients and enjoying the process. I have many pictures to show! Nice to see you po...

Darling Jill Quilts: Quilt #32 - Jaclyn's hexie quilt
http://jillquilts.blogspot.com/2014/11/quilt-32-jaclyns-hexie-quilt.html
Quilting prices - Updated 4/22/2014. Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Quilt #32 - Jaclyn's hexie quilt. This is the first of three quilts that I quilted for Jaclyn this summer/fall. It is an antique quilt with hexagons and it was hand pieced. I quilted it with an off white So Fine in the top and silver Bottom Line in the bobbin and the Baptist Swirl panto. There were a few stains and tears on the quilt, but Jaclyn knows how to fix them and is really going to enjoy this quilt! November 4, 2014 at 10:28 AM.

Darling Jill Quilts: Quilt #31 - Jennifer's pink baby
http://jillquilts.blogspot.com/2014/11/quilt-31-jennifers-pink-baby.html
Quilting prices - Updated 4/22/2014. Sunday, November 2, 2014. Quilt #31 - Jennifer's pink baby. The next quilt that I quilted over the summer was this pink baby quilt for Jennifer. I used the Simplicity panto and a red and pink variegated King Tut thread. I guess the quilting doesn't show up too well in the pictures I took. But the thread matches nicely and Jennifer was able to gift the quilt to a co-worker for her new baby. :). Back to blog posting for you too! November 2, 2014 at 9:09 AM. If you like ...

I got another bright variegated King Tut thread for the top and used the Bountiful Feathers panto and just loved to see how it quilted out! The Queen Bee's Buzz: 12/01/2014 - 01/01/2015
http://thequeenbeesbuzz.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. I don't know that I have blogged enough in 2014 to do a "year end recap" though it has been a productive year. Planned projects were finished (mostly), unplanned projects were finished, and even a few UFO's were . well. moved further along in the process. I even did two craft shows! 2015 starts another trip around the sun. I wonder what lies in store for the year ahead. More frequent blogging, perhaps? And yours, too! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Darling Jill Quilts: Quilt #33 - Laura Beth's purple and teal birds
http://jillquilts.blogspot.com/2014/11/quilt-33-laura-beths-purple-and-teal.html
Quilting prices - Updated 4/22/2014. Thursday, November 6, 2014. Quilt #33 - Laura Beth's purple and teal birds. I took the month of August off from quilting because work was getting so hectic and I had little energy once I got home. When I started back to quilting, I worked on this quilt with the Baptist Swirl panto and had some tension issues. I got 5 rows quilted and just wasn't happy with how it was turning out so I took the machine in for service and started ripping out what had already been done.

Sunday, April 13, 2014. With 80 degree weather today (unusual - though welcome) I think we have finally shaken off the long cold winter that hit us this year. Yesterday I was able to open up the house and wash 24 windows, and the windows in 3 doors - plus clean all the curtains. AMAZING what a difference that makes - the fresh air, the clear view. who would have thought that cleaning would be so theraputic! Though I did not escape unscathed. I even got busy with some planting! It was 'thyme.". This was a...
