For Dad… | Just Kate...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. February 8, 2011. My mind has been on overdrive with muddled thoughts. This makes rationality the unobtainable carrot. Sleepless nights, bouts of starring at the walls, and more pots of coffee than I can recall. For those, like I was days ago, that believe my Dad is superhuman, afraid of nothing and untouchable *SPOILER ALERT* …he’s human after all. Arms at the ready, Dad. Let’s go. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Monthly Archives: February 2012. Peach Fuzz to Chest Hair…. February 9, 2012. So, given my lengthy observation period I can say with sincere certainly that there are some definite solids across the board. I’m sure this list will continue to grow as the years pass, but here is what I’ve deduced to date…. The moment you utter the words “you shouldn’t do that”, clear the decks. It has now become the ultimate challenge. Beer/rootbeer is ample fuel for miles and miles. Scars...

Reid the Story: The Story of Postpartum
http://reidthestory.blogspot.com/2013/10/the-story-of-postpartum.html
Monday, October 21, 2013. The Story of Postpartum. I write this with the understanding that LT will not be reading this blog for a long time. By the the time he does, he will know that I am absolutely crazy about every part of him and he is the light in my stars. With that said, this is the story of how for a short time, he was a black hole. June 25 - LT was born. July 19 - LT was released from the hospital. July 22 to July 27 - We packed our house (or I should say DR packed our house). When September ca...

http://breakfast-with-alicia.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 11, 2010. Running from an Angel '10- 1st Marathon Recap. For weeks, months I sat here wondering what it will feel like to be on the other side. Of all the marathon training: all the fantasies of crossing the finish line, what it might feel like in the final 6 miles, the emotions I might feel as I gutted it out, and how happy I would be to finally say I'm a marathoner. And here I am on the other side and it feels. AMAZING! Here's how it all went down:. We left the hotel at about 7:10 and h...

Sunday, October 10, 2010. Friends in Need.are friends indeed! Friday afternoon, Will came home and told me that we were going to spend Saturday morning volunteering. He had called United Way and found a place that we could take the boys and do some much needed work. My first thought- "What about my long run? No way I could deal with the guilt. After all, I guess I could run later in the day. So, I tapped into his enthusiasm and we headed out Saturday morning to Friends in Need. So, am I glad I skipped my...

Reid the Story: An Abstract on Patience
http://reidthestory.blogspot.com/2013/07/an-abstract-on-patience.html
Tuesday, July 9, 2013. An Abstract on Patience. The process of parenthood has become a great test of patience for Dr. Reid and myself. As I sit "waiting" on Lt. Reid I've been evaluating the following Phases of patience thus far:. Phase 1 - "Hey, you should have a baby.". Phase 2 - "Hey, I'm going to make you wait 9 months.". Phase 3 - "Just kidding suckers, wait 9 more days! Jokes started to arise that Lt. Reid was going to test our patience as parents, and he. The jokes stopped being funny by Phase 4, ...

Dominick the Donkey struggled this year. HUGs were a "must" when giving. Oh Sam and his hats! An iPad for Scott. Once again, at ...
