Random thoughts from the aging mind of Brian LoCicero. Ode to a Genius (one of a million going out tonight). Steve Jobs, you were intelligent enough to probably realize the impact you've had on so many lives. If you didn't, well, you're FB/Twitter feeds are blowing up to prove it. My first Mac was the Mac Plus (1988) with an external 45MB Seagate hard drive. Imagine my jaw dropping moment when I pulled the shroud off that Mac Plus to upgrade the RAM (anyone remember SIMM cards? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Random thoughts from the aging mind of Brian LoCicero. We got a letter from Aidan's school that by the end of August he's going to move on to the next room, Pre-school II. Sort of came as a surprise because we though that he wouldn't move on until his 4th birthday but it's making sense that the changes now will happen in line with the normal school year schedule. You know when your Mother threatens you that she wishes you have a child "just like you"? Well, I'm glad he's just like us. Bring the Dons Home.

Random thoughts from the aging mind of Brian LoCicero. Chicago Fire: On Location at Lottie's Pub. In Chicago is the place they use for the bar that Mouch, Hermann and Dawson buy on Chicago Fire and call Molly's. My Dad grew up in that neighborhood (lived in the 1800 block of Winchester) in the 50's and has told me a few stories about Walter "Lottie" Zagorski. Takes you to a bit more of the history and story of Lottie's. In the 90's I went to Lottie's for my one and only time to see the band of a co-worke...

Random thoughts from the aging mind of Brian LoCicero. American Sniper : my thoughts. I've had a few days to reflect on it and have watched all the bullcr@p flying back and forth from the right and left. 80% of the posts I see and the drivel I'm hearing are missing the damn point about American Sniper. T crazy because you've all missed the damn point over and over again. THAT'S THE POINT OF AMERICAN SNIPER. It's what Kyle said it was in the interview I heard. not the kill shots or his arrogance&#...Im an...

Random thoughts from the aging mind of Brian LoCicero. Holy Crap, where they hell have YOU been? So, 18 months since I've touched this. No excuse other than work is crazy, life is crazy, world is crazy and frankly, this takes a lot of discipline to keep going and my borderline A-D-D self has two million other things to do. That said, I need to get back to writing again. Shame on me but I control it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Bring the Dons Home. View my complete profile. What we have not. 15 Days in May.

Random thoughts from the aging mind of Brian LoCicero. Hotdog, Hotdog, Hot Diggity Dog. Only a few days left until we leave. For Florida and little Mister's FIRST ever, Walt Disney World experience. If you don't know, we've held off on telling him we're ACTUALLY going because, as anyone who has ever had a 4-year old can tell you, if you tell the little monkeys more than 1 day before you're actually going, you'll be asked 4,293 times a day if tomorrow is the day we go. Yeah, probably the latter. I gave hi...

Random thoughts from the aging mind of Brian LoCicero. Has the banking industry learned? Likely not, but I was presently surprised at the outcome of two calls to credit card companies yesterday. Maybe I'm punchy tired, but for a moment I thought that the Financial Industry is actually being thankful to the public for bailing them out and treating people they've extended credit to as human beings. Who knows, we can only hope. Review: U2 360° Tour - Chicago, Soldier Field, 5th July 2011. We had the fortune...
