Saturday, August 23, 2008. Ebid, Tazbar and the others. Finally, after more than 2 month away from here, I am back! The other important point to look at with those places is directed towards buyers this time: Before running to Ebay which is seen as the bargain place to buy something, but this is not always true, you may find what you are looking for on these other sites for less as the sellers often drop their prices compare to Ebay as they have smaller fees to pay to the owners…. Where I am selling.

Sunday, March 01, 2009. Here is a little way to make some small savings which is really fun to do. You will not save a lot, but in my book every little saving counts! With the internet, there are now web-sites which specialise in telling you who gives free samples or discount vouchers. You don’t even need to register with these sites to get access to a list of things that may interest you. You can find beauty products, food for you, your kids, your pets and many other things…. Small site but good offers&...

Saturday, April 25, 2009. I used to receive some surveys in the post. I don’t know why, but I always filled them up, it simply amused me. I would send them back in good time to be entered in a draw to win some money and I would never hear anything again until the next survey arrived on my doormat…. Now to be able to have access to those surveys, you need to sign up to the sites. But once you are in, you will get surveys e-mailed to you and you can start piling up the points. And other places too:. They o...

Monday, June 16, 2008. You could refurbish the entire house, have “new” clothes to wear, get lots of games and fun for the all family and even get vegetable plants to grow! All you need to do is register with your local group and then you will receive the offers straight in your mail box. I suggest a separate mail box just for Freecycle as it is truly amazing how much stuff people are getting rid of and how many e-mails you can get! So, go for it, get recycling more and start saving! Saturday, August 13, 2011. Rich or poor/Riche ou pauvre. So could this be how it works? As far as people on benefits are concerned, if you own a house, you are rich. Well how many more think this anyway? Hey, I have even done a spot of bin-diving for free food at the back of the supermarkets. A real sign of riches too! So just who is rich and who is poor? Alors c’est comme ça que ça marche? J’ai même été visiter les poubelles des supermarchés plusieurs fois ; un autre signe de richesse sûrement! As we ha...

Thursday, April 24, 2008. The web / La toile. Like everybody else, I work for a living to pay the bills and to buy myself a little bit of good time. The end of the 20. Century and the beginning of the 21. Have changed our way of working considerably. We are all connected on the web and we talk regularly with the entire planet. Having worked in companies with offices in many countries, I have had the opportunity to appreciate the benefits of the internet and e-mails for example. Amazon et Ebay ne sont pas...

l'expat: Expats – the new taxpayers?
http://lexpat.blogspot.com/2013/04/expats-new-taxpayers.html
Thursday, April 11, 2013. Expats – the new taxpayers? Following my rant, last week, on my dear country, I have to return to something I read a few times in the past few months concerning a new French idea, inspired by the Americans; namely to make expats pay taxes to the motherland on the income they earn abroad. Now I wonder if the politicians know any better? Hey, as I said before the reason most of us left was to find a job which. Yeah I know, I am not an expat for now, but I still see myself as one.

l'expat: Expat or Impat
http://lexpat.blogspot.com/2013/04/expat-or-impat.html
Friday, April 05, 2013. Newish French word for those persons who decide to come back home after a few (or many) years away from their country. Well this impat thing is no fun as so many have discovered before me. See amongst other things the article from Le Monde on 30. November 2012: “L’amère patrie” (the sour homeland):. Http:/ www.lemonde.fr/societe/article/2012/11/30/impatries-l-amere-patrie 1797400 3224.html. I do know some pretty horrid stories about English expats who returned to the. You are Fren...

Friday, April 19, 2013. Validation des acquis – Validation of your (work) experience. Another thing which is driving me completely crazy right now:. You need to have the diploma/degree that fits your job. See, I did fashion design and got a degree, but I never worked as a fashion designer. I worked in retail, then wholesale. For over 10 years I worked in international trading. Well, do you think that is sufficient to get a job in this field in. NO, of course not! I have lived in the. They are encouraged ...
