Living Well with Parkinsons Disease. My doc makes my worries disappear. My visits to Cindy, my Movement Disorders Specialist, are as much about my emotional and mental health as anything else. My most recent visit was no exception. It was prompted by my concern that my gait seems to have significantly worsened since I developed pneumonia a few weeks ago. I needed reassurance that this is just a temporary setback, and not a slippery slope. Now, I’ve been happy lately,. And I believe it could be;. Thank yo...

Living Well with Parkinsons Disease. Many reasons to be hopeful as we ring in 2015. Hope is nurtured by our refusal to give up, and our belief that the next clinical trial we join or alternative therapy we try, may lead to the cure. Hope is what makes life with PD bearable. Legends of the fall | Living Well with Parkinsons Disease
https://livingwellwithparkinsonsdisease.com/2015/07/08/legends-of-the-fall
Living Well with Parkinsons Disease. Legends of the fall. My first fall took me totally by surprise. I was working at my computer at 4 am and the next thing I knew, I was sprawled out on the floor in my home office with my desk chair on top of me, and not a mark on my body. I can only assume that I fell asleep at my computer, leaned to one side, and tipped over my chair with me in it. What were you doing at your computer when you should have been sleeping? 3 comments on “ Legends of the fall. July 8, 2015.

I haven’t posted in a long time because with Christmas crafting and birthday gifts, I haven’t been doing “regular” crafting for a while. Therefore, I had given myself permission to not work on UFOs. I started a knitted afghan project in November and am really loving it! Normally, afghans quickly become UFOs because they get a little boring. This one, Hue Shift. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Living Well with Parkinsons Disease. Everyone has a story to tell, a life lesson to teach. How long must some of us live with Parkinson’s disease before we accept, that for better or worse, the changes it brings to our lives are here to stay? Oh, I know, we think we have accepted the ways of our new lives, but when tested, we often discover that we give ourselves more credit than we deserve. Living Well with Parkinsons Disease. I need the whole lane, the man told me. When I’m walking backwards, I can’t see if someone is behind me and I wouldn’t want to walk into them.”. Not a team player, the man told me to, Go walk with the ladies in the first lane. Knowing those were “fighting” words, my husband, Tony, froze on the pool ladder in anticipation of what might happen next. Surely, he hoped, this man was not talking to me, but he knew he was.
